When we look at the history of tattooing, we see that it goes back to 2000 BC, to ancient Egypt. Different societies had different perspectives on tattoos. While the ancient Romans and Greeks saw tattooing as a barbarian tradition and made slaves and criminals do it, in some tribes, tattoos were a sign of nobility and nobility. Apart from these, Indians, Japanese, Native Americans and some African tribes used the tattoo as an ornament. In the late 19th century, tattoo was widely used among Western aristocrats. Among the known, Churchill and his mother had tattoos of King George V of England. Tattoos were barely visible back then.
Tattoo Today
A century later, tattoos became popular again. Today, tattoo is considered to be a kind of message. The tattoo shows how courageous and different and most importantly how creative the person is.
Some celebrities like Angelina Jolie and David Beckham come up with their passion for tattoos. Among the fashion designers, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen are very ambitious. In our country, names such as Sibel Tüzün, Demir Demirkan, Hayko Cepkin, Ece Gürsel and Özlem Tekin come to mind first.
